Anderson came to Acoma Energy in September of 2013. As Controller for Acoma Energy, she provides fiscal management, oversight of the Company cash flow requirements and is responsible for budgetary planning and monitoring of the receipt, collection and disbursement of all funds. Anderson is also responsible for the Company’s financial management systems and internal controls and reports, as well as all aspects related to the management of the multimillion-dollar accounting, finance, and revenue operations.
Anderson began her career in Big 4 public accounting in Kansas City before transferring to Denver. Her main clients included the electric utility of Kansas City and a public mid-stream oil and gas company in Denver. After leaving public accounting, she spent over two years in the private sector, focusing primarily in SEC Financial Reporting. She is a member of the AICPA and COCPA and certified in Kansas and Colorado as a CPA. She received her degrees from the University of Kansas, first with her BS in Accounting, then later graduating with distinction in 2008 with a Master of Accountancy.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, participating in her favorite charity – Big Brothers Big Sisters – practicing yoga, playing with her 2 dogs, and rooting for KU basketball.
